According to the principle of Ayurveda, the vitiated doshas are melted and liquified by oil massage and fomentation (swedana procedure) and flow towards abdomen, ultimately to the gastrointestinal tract. From there doshas are expelled out by Virechana therapy through end part of digestive tract, anal route through purgation.
